Scope

This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our website, contact us, or interact with our SMS/MMS text messaging programs. This policy does not replace our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices for protected health information (PHI) provided in the course of care; that Notice governs PHI.

Information we collect

Identifiers & contact info: name, email, phone number, mailing address.
Appointment & claim details (if provided by you): date of injury, insurer/claim info, adjuster contact.
Communications: messages you send us (including SMS/MMS).
Payment-related info: limited billing details (processed by PCI-compliant vendors; we do not store full card numbers).
Technical data: IP address, device/browser data, cookies/analytics, pages viewed, and interactions on our site.

How we collect it

Directly from you: web forms, intake, scheduling, calls, email, SMS/MMS.
Automatically: cookies, pixels, and similar tech on our site.
From service providers you use with us: scheduling, payment, messaging, analytics.

How we use information

Provide and improve care, scheduling, reminders, and customer service.
Send administrative messages (confirmations, reminders), and—only with your consent—marketing messages.
Process payments and manage claims/billing you ask us to handle.
Maintain site security, debug, and comply with law.

SMS/MMS Text Messaging Terms (A2P)

Opt-in. You may opt in on our website, via a form or in-office, or by texting a keyword we provide. Consent is not a condition of purchase or care.
Message frequency. Varies (e.g., appointment reminders, occasional updates).
Cost. Message & data rates may apply.
Opt-out. Reply STOP to cancel. You’ll receive a final confirmation text.
Help. Reply HELP for help or contact us at 406-969-3805 or bcicfrontdesk@gmail.com.
Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Data use & sharing for SMS. We use your mobile number and messaging data only to deliver and support our messaging program. We do not sell or share SMS opt-in or consent data with third parties for their marketing. We may share with vendors who help us send messages (e.g., messaging platforms) under contracts that limit their use to providing these services.
Sensitive info by text. Do not send PHI, SSNs, or payment info by text. For emergencies, call 911.

Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar tech for basic site function and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We do not respond to Do-Not-Track signals.

Sharing of information

We share information only as needed to run our business and deliver your requests:

Service providers (e.g., hosting, scheduling, messaging/SMS, analytics, payments) bound by agreements to use data only for us.
Legal/compliance (to meet law, court orders, or protect rights and safety).
Business transfers (e.g., merger/acquisition), where permitted by law.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not sell or share SMS consent/opt-in data for third-party marketing.

HIPAA/PHI

If you become a patient, PHI we create or receive in providing care is governed by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices (available in-office and on request). This site privacy policy covers non-PHI and general website interactions.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No system is 100% secure.

Your choices & rights

Marketing opt-out: Unsubscribe links in emails; STOP to opt out of texts.
Access, correction, deletion: Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information (subject to legal limits).
Montana residents (MCDPA) & other state privacy laws: You may have rights to access, delete, correct, and opt out of targeted advertising or certain disclosures defined as “sales.” We do not sell personal data. Submit requests using the contact info below; if we deny a request, you may appeal by contacting us again with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject.

Children’s privacy

Our website and SMS programs are not directed to children under 13. If we learn we collected such information, we will delete it.

Third-party links

Our site may link to third-party websites or services we do not control. Their practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective date” will change when we do. Material changes will be posted on this page.
